Twilight: Eclipse!

The only way to watch a movie you have been waiting to come out for years is to attend the midnight showing! This also means arriving to the theater 2 hours in advance to reserve a spot in line for the perfect seat. Thats just what me and 7 friends decided to do. The theater of choice was the AMC Star Southfield, which I think was perfect. There weren’t any die hard Twilight fanatic teenage girls out past curfew all Team Edwardy and Team Jacoby screaming and saying “likeomygod” repeatedly. Instead, you end up with a mature crowd of adults which I really appreciated.
Twilight Eclipse is the third book in a set of 4. If you have not read the books I will catch you up to speed. Bella, a normal girl moves in with her father in Forks, Washington. She falls in love with a vampire, Edward Cullen who is over 100 years old. He comes from a “family” of vampires who only feed off of the blood of animals. 3 Vampires; James, Victoria and Laurent, come to forks to feed off of humans. One of them, James, tries to kill Bella, but fails and Edward kills him. Victoria who was in love with James seeks to kill Bella to avenge her lovers death.
ALSO! Bella is best friends with Jacob, who is a member of a Quileute Native American Tribe. In their tribe, because of their history, when they sense the presence of a Vampire, they have the ability to morph into werewolves, huge giant! werewolves. (I’m leaving out a lot of details so you should probably read the book
)
Every since I read the last word of the book I was wondering how it would play out on screen. This movie is the best Twilight movie yet. The special effects are amazing, more believable and have a smoother transition. The makeup artist did a phenomenal job, on the vampires and werewolves. In the first movie it looked as if the vampires bathed in flour which was highly unattractive and so not the case in Eclipse. They had a more natural pale look. Even the acting has improved exceptionally from the other twilight films. I think the director had a lot do with these improvements. David Slade, who also directed 30 Days of Night and Hard Candy had great direction for this film. It was exactly as I imagined it when I was reading the book. It was as if the director was in my head.
In this movie Victoria gathers an army of ferocious newborn vampires in hopes to outnumber the Cullen Clan and tear the Bella to shreds! So there is a full out war scene which is so amazing to see the vampire and werewolves in action!
I give this movie an over all 100/10! It was absolutely amazing! I cannot wait until it comes out on DVD so I can watch it over and over! I am also anticipating twilight breaking dawn, which is suppose to be broken up into two parts to fit in all of the major details! Definitely a must see! This movie was worth every second and every penny!
